Laboratorium:
Laboratorium is a new boutique library label made by danish artist Peder who has a very diverse body of work including “Breaking Bad”, “The Beastie Boys”, “Mo Wax Records”, 6 solo albums and a stack of filmscoring and commercial work.
Laboratorium (danish for Laboratory) is quite literally where Peder goes to “conduct research”.
Whenever he has an idea he’d like to explore - music evovles. And now that music has to see the day of light and be used for something.
Laboratorium will launch in Q1 of 2026 with 2 releases.
Peder & Friends: Gloomy Fairytales
#LAB001
GLOOMY FAIRYTALES is Peder stepping into familiar waters.
The whole series is inspired by a track from his debut solo album — Timetakesthetimetimetakes — a guitar waltz with ghostly choirs and celeste sprinkles, which eventually found its way into the third season of Breaking Bad.
GLOOMY FAIRYTALES also tips its hat to Exotica, jazz, and old library music.
But have a listen, and you’ll get the idea...

Peder & Friends: Klang
#LAB002
On the KLANG series from LABORATORIUM, Peder has gone into the lab to explore the world of ambient music.
However, it’s not ambient music as it’s mostly made these days — in the box.
Everything on KLANG begins outside the box, with sounds emanating from real instruments and traveling through air into a microphone.
You could call it “Organic Ambient,” but that would be lame — so we won’t.
